Adheer’s story

Adheer is an Indian engineer who moved to Stockholm in 2017 to work for a well-known home appliances company. From warmth to cold, from crowds to silent streets, from sunlight to long dark winters… he embraced all type of radical changes. His refuge, the music. A guitar or a piano, along with a good coffee or tea and great conversations is what better describes a typical gathering with Adheer.

For his apartment, I wanted to incorporate a significant piece for him. That is how I came with the idea of asking my friend Nus to draw something special. That thing could be anything else but a rakhi illustration, an Indian symbol of brotherhood and sisterhood. Being far from his family, thankfully not that far from his sister, I considered highly important to keep links visible in some way.
